Hodak's was AMAZING!!!! Staff was friendly & fast...was on-point with keeping my tea glass filled. Food was amazing....my first time here. Will DEFINITELY be making a comeback

Service was excellent. Several of us had the 1/2 Golden Fried Chicken while others ordered the Drumstick Dinners. We had an order of fried mushrooms to start out. They were some of the best that I'd ever had. The chicken was moist, the fries were hot and plentiful. My only disappointment was the coleslaw, which I thought was just so-so. (Everyone else thought the slaw was good, so maybe it's just me.) Would definitely return.

This was my first time at Hodak's. We met some friends here at their recommendation. The place has a friendly atmosphere and the service was really good. The best part was the food. Large portions and very good.

My family and I were driving through town, on our way back from Iowa to Texas. I love fried chicken, it is a dish I could eat 5 times a week and not get tired of it. So, when we noticed this place was voted best fried chicken in St. L, we had to try it out. The service was amazing, our server was always there to fill drinks, and supply us with napkins. Even with a packed out restaurant we never felt like she was stretched thin. The food was great, though the crust on the chicken lacked flavor, it was very bland. Like a bland fish fry batter, the chicken was moist. There was not much flavor, it was all fairly neutral. Not bad, just not my favorite.

Hodak's is a one of my favorites they are inexpensive and have a variety of delicious things you can choose from off their menu although I always get the half chicken plate myself with fries and slaw or I'll sometimes sub my slaw for baked beans their both great and I'll sample my boyfriend meal if he gets something different..😁😋.. They also have a good chef salad.. now I got Hodak's on my mind I know what I'm having for dinner tonight..YUM

The food was good I had a salad and chicken wings it was big portion for a good price and our server Mike was so nice and down to earth every one in there seems really nice I'm definitely going back

Classic fried chicken! One of the best in the area. I did a takeout order and everything was fresh and hot when I got to my destination to eat. Iactually had to have it cool off before I ate it. Loved the vinegar coleslaw and fries too. Sticky sauce on the side was excellent. Homemade ranch was very creamy!

I don't get to eat here often enough. Secret little fried chicken honeyhole. Known by locals, and a great place for people visiting to pick up amazing bar food for a reasonable price.

Best and real southern style fried chickens. I had live in Georgia and New Orleans. I know how the fried chickens taste should like. Other fried chicken restaurants in St. Louis offer St. Louis style that have too much flavor and they are too salty. Hodak's chickens have mild taste, which can be prefect when you have with sauce. I love the Mama's sticky sauce! Best!

The food was delicious! Portions off the charts! Melissa our server knew the answers to every question I threw at her! Definitely became an instant favorite for us! Can't wait to bring family and friends here!

Ate lunch here today. I had the 1/2 chicken, with fries and onion rings. The chicken was fresh, with breading that tasted fresh, and the oil was fresh (not old like some restaurants). However, it was kinda bland. I guess I'm just used to KFC, Church's, and fried chicken with seasoning and spices to give it some kick and flavor. For the onion rings, I only got 6 of them. I guess I was expecting a few more for $2.50. My friend had the chicken strips, and she said they were the best she's ever had. But she likes her strips thin and crispy, not thick and meaty.Our server, Sandy, was very helpful and was on top of our order.We'll be back, to try some of the other menu items.

Average food but the service was on point. 4/5 service: Very attentive waitress. Lots of visiting the table and our drinks were always topped offStrong 3/5 food: Chicken lacking seasoning where it requires hot sauce for any sort of flavor. Waited twenty minutes for the kitchen to turn out 4 adult meals with frozen crinkly cut and bland big box coleslaw.

I've gone here my whole life! And it never disappoints. I get the party melt so good. Reasonably priced and you get all lot of food. Unless you can pack away about a pound of food your gonna need a Togo box.happy eating!!

I love this place. They have the best fried chicken and cod sandwich. The service is great. If you sit at the bar, you might be lucky enough to have Steve wait on you. If you sit at a table, no problem. The service is super. Go and try it for yourself.

Fried chicken is always, always THE BEST!!!! We've been regular customer's here and have NEVER had any complaints about anything!!! Wish they would move out of the city though, or have another location to visit. The food is really great here!!!!

We very much enjoyed our dinner tonight as we always do at Hodaks. Brought 2 folks with us who had never eaten there before and they were pleasantly surprised. Could not believe the service and amount of food on our plates. 😍

Jack salmon is good Lenten option. Dinner comes with 3 sides which is enough to share. Rick gave us good service as well.

Food is average to good in taste. Some things better than others but nothing bad. Neat atmosphere. Good service. I will say this, if you're a fried mushroom fan, they are tasty, huge and you get a pile of them on your plate! One person can only eat 1/2 order. Same price as other places sell a handful of dime size. Main reason I drive from over an hour away to eat there.

Good atmosphere, particularly for a large group. Our party of 9 sat in the middle of the room and had a wonderful time. The food was good though I would prefer some other options for side items.

Mary provided excellent service from start to finish. The food was good and we got a large meal at a good price. I've heard SO much about the chicken and how it's the best in St. Louis and I was just a little underwhelmed. The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy, but it was bland. I am glad I tried it, but I just don't know if I will be returning.

Used curbside. Person who brought food out wasn't masked. Chicken was lukewarm at best and we showed up at the time specified when we called in the order. Odd coating on chicken. Not the best we've ever had. It was mediocre .. and expensive. We paid $25 for twelve pieces of chicken, no sides.

That’s probably the most underwhelming food I’ve had. There’s a lack of seasoning around the board. The chicken was bland and over breaded and the fries were not seasoned either. Not even the mashed potatoes had seasoning. I won’t be returning it’s not worth the trip.

The chicken was ok but not to write home about. The onion rings were not home made and the cole slaw left a lot to be desired.

I actually was disappointed on the side dishes. I ordered Mashed potatoes and Mac n Cheese. Basically from the box taste. Not good. The Chicken it was good.

Portions are great, everything is good, great sides. I'm sorry though, the chicken is crispy and cooked right but just bland. Add a little flavor please. Service has been good in the few times I've been, but I wouldn't go here if I was in a hurry.

Very good chicken, crispy fries, and slaw that's sweeter than expected. The servings are huge, even the plate of toasted ravioli was a lot for a group of 3 to handle. The servers are friendly and very attentive. Great place to stop in for lunch, but it does get very busy as the day goes on. Plenty of parking in a lot across the street.

THE COLE SLAW TASTE LIKE IT HAD TOO MUCH VINEGAR THE COATING ON THE CHICKEN TASTED FISHY THE FRIES WERE GREAT THE SERVICE WAS GREAT

Food is always great and service is wonderful. Staff is friendly. Dining room is always clean. My only complaint is it never seems to be warm enough inside! But, I do tend to be cold everywhere so I don't blame Hodak's for that. Lol.

First time tonight, drove from an hour away. I’d say food was 8/10 (could use a little more seasoning). BUT, Melissa was our waitress and she was on point! Very attentive and on top of our service. We will be back! Thank you Melissa for a wonderful family dinner.

Nice restaurant, the chicken was not as good as I had heard. Me, my wife and my mother in law had the fried chicken and we all had the same opinion. Good texture and crunch on the chicken, juicy but it lacked flavor. The chicken was bland. Didn't taste much seasoning at all. The sides weren't bad. The service was good.
